Emma’s pregnancy went pretty smoothly. She didn’t have much morning sickness and her doctor said she was progressing really well.
Her boss was okay with the pregnancy and told her that she can take time off from the hospital after the baby is born but still can not miss any of her classes. Emma knew this would be hard especially if the birth of her baby didn’t go well and required any extra healing time.
The due date of her baby was approaching and everything seemed to be going well for Emma. She was doing well in her classes, she’s been promoted to medical intern. She no longer takes the preliminary classes she started off with. She was able to save the money and is now in collage to become a doctor. She never thought this would be her future, even when she first saw the article in the paper when she first moved to this town.
Her relationship with Watson is better than ever. They even started talking about moving in together. She doesn’t want to move in together unless they are married but she hasn’t told him that yet. They’ve been together now for almost a year and she is ready for the next step but is he?
That evening while she was eating supper she started to get some cramping. They were really bad cramps too. Worse than she has ever felt. This can’t be, its two weeks early! She then remembered her doctor telling her that it was possible with how her pregnancy has been going this last month that the baby could come early.
So Emma quickly packed her bags and headed to the hospital.
The nurses took her back to her room right away and Dr. Burt came in to see how she was doing.
“Your in labor. It shouldn’t be long now and yours and your baby’s vitals are doing great! I will be back in in a little while to check on you.”
The time flew by quickly and it wasn’t long before she was in to deliver her baby. Watson was currently on shift and wasn’t sure if he was going to get there in time. Around the time she was getting wheeled into the delivery room she saw Watson running down the hall. He made it!
The delivery went smoothly and it wasn’t long before Emma was home with her new baby boy named Forrest Hayward.
