Things have been going very well for Watson and Emma. They are so much in love and still sneak away at work just to be together for a few minutes alone. He’s so busy at work so it’s hard to find the time but they still try. Watson is usually in surgery or doing consultations with patients in his office which leaves very little time for him to be out on the floor or in the break room where Emma is usually at.
Time really has gone by so fast. Forrest was such an easy baby and toddler that the years went by so quickly. Now that Forrest is a child and is no longer in the nursery, Watson and Emma took out a loan from the bank and did a house remodel so Forrest could have his own room upstairs and they also bought some new furniture.
Forrest is now in school and is starting to do a lot of his own things now. Emma is starting to miss having a baby in the house and is thinking a new little one would be nice. She knows that Watson loves Forrest and adores him but he’s never said anything to her about having anymore children. She’s always felt like Forrest needed a sibling growing up.
She decided when Watson came home today, after supper she was going to talk with him about having another child.
Watson got home late and missed supper. Emma already had the food in the fridge and was relaxing on the couch. Forrest was getting his homework done and then going to head to bed. Watson sometimes works late because there are emergencies but why did this have to happen today? The day I was going to have this important talk with him.
“Another emergency at work?” Emma asked before saying hello when he walked in the door.
“Huh? Oh, yea. Another emergency. Sorry, didn’t realize it was so late.”
Watson went into the kitchen and warmed up his supper and then came out in the living room with Emma. They chatting for a little bit while he ate and they watched some TV. Watson was just about to get up and take his plate to the kitchen when Emma stopped him. “I want another child.”
Watson just looked at her, a little shocked.
“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t of said anything. I should of known you didn’t want any more.”
“No, no that’s not it.” Watson looked at her before continuing, “You just caught me off guard that’s all. I assumed you didn’t want anymore since the topic never came up. I love kids. If you want more than I want more.”
Emma was so happy to hear that. Emma touched his hand and looked up at him. “I think the sooner we get started the sooner we could have a new little one.”
