After a week in the hospital Fiona is finally able to go home. After the ventilator was removed and Derick had some quiet time with her he told her what had happened. She didn’t say anything to him but right before she rolled over he could see a tear forming and getting ready to fall down her face. He knows the news of her no longer being able to have any more children was killing her inside.
Derick stayed with her, taking care of Annalise while she rested. She hasn’t hardly spoke but she has been doing excellent with any of the tests and questions the doctor has done with her to check her brain activity. He suspects she will make a full recovery but may need to have therapy to help with the healing process.
That evening, Fiona sat up and looked over at Derick holding Annalise, “Can I hold her?”
Derick looked up and with out hesitation brought Annalise to her, “Sure you can.”
Fiona held Annalise, just looking at her innocent face. You are my Angel, my miracle. I will love you unconditionally. Fiona had a smile on her face, she looked so happy. Derick thought this was the most precious moment in his life.
The day finally came that they could go home. Derick wanted to help pack everything but Fiona insisted that she did things herself. Said she needed to get back into the swing of things and help take care of Annalise.
She’s actually going to start taking responsibility! Having a child is helping her grow up. Maybe she will be fine after all. So far all this time Fiona hasn’t helped with anything around the house. The way her family was while she was growing up let her do what ever she wanted and never had to help with any of the house work. The way she talked that day when they came home was that she was finally going to take some responsibility and help out around the house. After all, she does live there too.
How is life going to be now that Annalise is born? Is Fiona finally going to help out around the house and help with the chores? Keep reading to find out!
