It was a sunny Saturday afternoon when Emma got the call that she needed to head into the hospital. She was on call for this weekend so she made sure she didn’t make any plans that could get canceled due to work. She quickly got around and head out to work.
Watson was in taking care of Rosemary when there was a knock at the door. Who would that be? He wondered.
When he opened the door, he was surprised at who was on the other side.
“Brenda! What are you doing here? You know you aren’t supposed to come to the house.” Watson was a little upset that she showed up at his house.
“I knew that Emma wasn’t going to be here because some friends at work let me know that she got called in.”
She started flirting with Watson and he just couldn’t say no and he too flirted back.
“Let me get a babysitter for Rosemary and we can head out somewhere nice.” Watson went in and made a few phone calls so they could head out.
They decided to go to the park in Oasis Springs. Watson figured if they went to a different town they would be less likely to be recognized.
Was starting to get late and Watson forgot that Emma was only on call and that she had no set time on how long she would be there. He said goodbye to Brenda and headed home.
As soon as he got home Emma was on her way out the front door. Watson’s heart dropped. He saw in her face that something wasn’t right.
“Where have YOU been!!”
“I just took a walk around town.” That was the first thing Watson thought of for an excuse on where he was.
“Do you honestly expect me to believe that! Forrest told me that a woman came to the door and you left with her!”
He knew he had been caught and trying to lie more about what was happening wasn’t going to help the situation any. He started pleading to Emma. Explaining that it was never going to happen again. He almost got down on his knees to beg but she stopped him from going that far.
“Watson, you know I love you. I want this to work. We’ve been together for a very long time. If this ever happens again I will not forgive you again!”
After that Emma just walked back into the house. By the time Watson got inside she was already in the bedroom reading to Rosemary before putting her to bed and going to bed herself. Watson just sat on the couch thinking about what it is he has done with his relationship with Emma.
